The South Beach Diet Low carbohydrate diets are very popular

Weight management is a constant battle for most adults and the battle usually becomes more difficult as we age. Between television ads, books, magazine articles, web pages, the information available regarding weight loss can be overwhelming.The diet industry is a billion dollar one. Fad diets over the years have included the sole consumption of grapefruit, ground beef, eggs, cabbage soup and hot sauce, to name a few. The old saying is true: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Modern society prefers a quick fix for any problem.

The South Beach Diet is another low carbohydrate diet program. It is named after the popular Miami Beach neighborhood. Although the South Beach Diet is low carb, it focuses more on consuming good carbs, while restricting said carbs, along with lean protein, healthy fats and plant based foods for weight loss. The South Beach Diet also restricts calories to 200 calories per day.

Low carbohydrate diets are very popular. The Atkins Diet is the most famous incarnation of this dieting method. The Atkins Diet does not require calorie counting or portion control. Oftentimes those on the Atkins Diet will binge on high calorie, high fat protein. The Atkins Diet also does not require any type of exercise. This type of diet is useful if an individual wants to rapidly lose weight for say, a wedding. As far as lifestyle, carbohydrates can not be permanently eliminated from the diet. Carbohydrates are the body's primary source of fuel.

Also, I know you might have some secret compartments in your house with snacks and sweets. Go there and get rid of them too. You do it for you not for me!

You might know that cardio exercises are good for you health. It's true. But did you know it makes you happier too? That's what a recent study says. It claims that you can be up to 60% happier just by doing regular cardio exercises. That's great!

You don't have to cook everyday. From time to time look for good restaurants and try out for example new recipes of chicken. For dessert if you think you're on the schedule you can have an apple, but no more than one!

Right now your house might be empty with food that you want to eat in the south beach diet phase 1. No worries head over to a grocery store and start picking up the food that you like and is allowed. As a word of caution: don't buy more than needed! Write a journal It might sound silly but I promise you it helps. Write down how you feel every day so when you finish you can look back and have a good laugh.
